Typically bench top #CNC machines are the in the domain of #hobbyist, #students and home #machinist as an economical way of practicing and learning about metal removal.

The downside of bench top CNC machine tools is that they are limited in terms of size of workpiece and horsepower.  This means that it can be limiting in terms of the types of projects that they can produce as well as not being as accurate as most production machining.
